The stage is set for what promises to be an entertaining final at the WTA Berlin Open with the second WTA 500 title of this year’s grass-court swing will be on the line when former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova faces first-time WTA finalist Wang Xinyu.

Marketa Vondrousova defeated top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka in the Berlin Tennis Open semifinals on Saturday, reaching her first final since she won the 2023 Wimbledon championship. She will face first-time singles finalist Wang Xinyu for the title.

Vondroušová beat Wang in the searing Berlin heat to claim her first WTA title since beating Ons Jabeur in 2023.
