Jimmy Butler continues to go scorched earth on the Miami Heat in his attempts to be traded from the organization.

Though Butler leaving the Heat in free agency (without the Heat’s help) would not leave Miami with cap space to sign a max player this summer or anything close to a max player directly into cap space, there are ways around that — avenues that could give the Heat more than $60 million in spending money in July.

The massive rift between Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat continues to grow wider. Butler appeared to have thrown a not-so-subtle jab at Heat president Pat Riley and franchise on Thursday as the discontented star continues to serve his seven-game suspension.
