Another massive winter storm is forecast to pummel the southern and eastern U.S., with impacts from Texas to the Carolinas.

A developing winter storm is threatening to drop snow, sleet and freezing rain on parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas

A major weather pattern shift is about to occur across Texas. After a cold but dry first half of the week, a strong low pressure system is moving in from northern Mexico, sending high amounts of atmospheric moisture directly into Texas.

The National Weather Service says more winter weather is on the way for portions of Texas into the Lower Mississippi Valley and mid-south, bringing light snow Wednesday before a more significant storm on Thursday into Friday.
