The Call of Duty publisher revealed the first look at its new game for smartphones on its Instagram with a promotional advertisement. Guitar Hero Mobile 's logo is front and centre, however, looking closer it's quite obvious that the rest of the image is AI-generated.

Activision is once again in trouble with fans over generative AI. Just one week after it admitted to using generative AI in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for a number of assets, the publisher is now being accused of using generative AI again to promote a different game: Guitar Hero Mobile.

For the second week in a row, Activision is coming under fire for their use of generative AI, but this time for a much stranger reason. Over the weekend, followers of Activision’s Instagram page noticed them posting something unusual: an ad for a new Guitar Hero game,

Ads for four possible Activision mobile games allegedly contain AI-generated assets, and players aren't happy about it.

Activision appears to be fully embracing AI production, as it recently confirmed some assets in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 — such as Calling Cards — are created using the tech. The most infamous was a six-fingered zombie Santa Claus.
