A flash flood watch has been issued for much of the Tri-State Area on Monday. It takes effect at 2 p.m. and lasts until at least midnight. It's a First Alert Weather Day, as we track downpours, thunderstorms and the enhanced risk of flash flooding across portions of New Jersey.

The watch had been issued for Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties. “The Flood Watch has been cancelled and is no longer in effect,” states the National Weather Service.

On Monday at 12:39 a.m. a flood watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 2 p.m. until Tuesday 2 a.m. for Sussex, Monmouth, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties.
