The teenager allegedly struck Lt. Donald Bossi, who was outside his cruiser on Revere Beach Boulevard in front of a State Police barracks shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, officials said.

The trooper was identified Tuesday as Lt. Donald Bossi, station commander of the Revere Barracks. State police said Bossi was stable at Massachusetts General Hospital.
