Whenever Yoshida does return, he’ll re-join a crowded outfield/designated hitter mix in Boston. Cora envisions Yoshida and lefty-masher Rob Refsnyder platooning at the DH position while also continuing to mix both players into the outfield alongside Wilyer Abreu, Roman Anthony, Jarren Duran and Ceddanne Rafaela.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora announces that Masataka Yoshida is set to be activated off the injured list ahead of the All-Star break, during the upcoming homestand.

According to Cora, Masataka Yoshida will see his minor league rehab assignment end next week, but Tanner Houck will stay for another rehab start.
