The most noteworthy among those was putting Charlie McAvoy on injured reserve leaving their already thin defense significantly thinner. They also put Mark Kastelic on injured reserve and moved Hampus Lindholm to long term injured reserve. The Bruins summoned Matt Poitras and Michael Callahan from Providence.

The other moves related to injury classifications, with franchise defenseman Charlie McAvoy surprisingly placed on the injured reserve list.

McAvoy will sit out the next two games, starting with Tuesday's matchup versus Tampa Bay, due to a nagging injury. He has produced five goals, 20 points, 86 shots on net, 77 blocked shots and 86 hits across 45 appearances this season. Parker Wotherspoon will replace McAvoy in Tuesday's lineup.
