Sri Lanka has reached 100 for one at lunch on Day 3 of the first cricket test in a composed response to Bangladesh’s first-innings total of 495.

Bangladesh began Day 3 at 484 for 9, but their innings wrapped up swiftly with just 11 runs added to the total. Sri Lanka, trailing by 495 runs, began their first innings with openers Pathum Nissanka and Lahiru Udara.

The hosts narrowed the deficit to 127 runs, with six wickets in hand, at the end of Day 3 of the first Test against Bangladesh
