This isn't the first protest San Antonio has seen this week in regards to immigration raids. On Wednesday, June 11, A peaceful demonstration was held despite a significant police presence and more than 300 demonstrators at the Alamo and City Hall.

The governor's spokesman says soldiers are "on standby." Protests against immigrant arrests are planned for Wednesday and Saturday in downtown San Antonio.

Members of the Texas National Guard have been deployed to San Antonio in anticipation of protests this week in the city as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers continue to conduct raids.
