Sunday's attack in Boulder targeted a group called Run for Their Lives, which raises awareness about the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Now, they're figuring out how to move on.
Run for Their Lives also has chapters in Denver and Fort Collins, according to the website. The Boulder group chooses to walk to accommodate people of varying ages and abilities.
The more-than-230 chapters of Run for Their Lives handle security individually, Weiss said. While a few groups cancelled Sunday’s walk, she said the vast majority have not missed a week.
Run for Their Lives has vowed to continue until the last of the hostages taken into Gaza return home. There remain 58 hostages in captivity, of whom as many as 23 are alive.
