A man driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra southbound fatally struck a man in the roadway, the release said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead in the scene. He was not in a crosswalk, according to police. Police are withholding the man’s name as work to notify his family members. No charges had been filed as of Monday afternoon, police said.

Two weeks after a pedestrian was struck and killed at a Wilshire Boulevard intersection, another pedestrian was injured in the same area.

California Highway Patrol officers and fire personnel found the man dead Saturday night along southbound Highway 101 just south of Steele Lane.
