Former AZ Compass Prep basketball players Jeremiah Fears and Javon Small were taken in the 2025 NBA Draft held June 25-26. Fears, a 6-foot-4 guard who played one year at Oklahoma, was taken seventh overall by the New Orleans Pelicans.

After one year with the Sooners, Jeremiah Fears is expected to hear his name early during the first round of the NBA Draft on Wednesday night.

Fears had a standout season for the Sooners after reclassifying in high school, making him one of the younger players to be drafted.
