Elon Musk has dropped a massive hint regarding the future of Tesla's electric vehicle models in his latest social media post. Following the highly anticipated release of the new Tesla Model Y, the Elon Musk-led brand could be planning to unveil new vehicles in the coming months.

General Motors has accelerated EV sales and market share while Texas-based Tesla cratered this spring due to criticism of Musk.

Elon Musk said on Monday he does not support a merger between his electric vehicle maker Tesla and his artificial intelligence startup xAI, which owns the Grok chatbot and competes with the likes of OpenAI's ChatGPT.

As Elon Musk contemplates the relationship between several of his companies, he said on social media that Tesla shareholders will vote on whether to invest in xAI.

In addition to calling for the oversight on Musk's political endeavors by Tesla's board, Ives, a prominent voice in the tech world, also recommended that the board establish a new pay package for Musk that would limit his voting control to 25% and establish guardrails on how much time the tech mogul spends at Tesla.

A rare trial against Elon Musk's car company began Monday in Miami, where a jury will decide if it is partly to blame for the death of a university student after a runaway Tesla sent her flying nearly 23 metres through the air.

Musk, never one to pass up the opportunity to showcase his juvenile sense of humor, quote-tweeted the image of the phallic geofence shortly afterwards and wrote “Bigger, longer and uncut” accompanied by a laughing emoji in an apparent reference to the South Park movie.

Musk's announcement comes hours after xAI debuted its latest flagship AI model, Grok 4. The 54-year-old discussed the recent innovation during a nearly hour-long livestream shared on xAI's X page, during which he did not mention the chatbot's integration into Tesla vehicles.
