A woman who bought a lottery ticket while up north during the Fourth of July weekend ended up winning a $792,990 jackpot, the Michigan lottery says.

The winner says she bought her easy pick ticket while at the store during a camping trip to Northern Michigan.

A Tuscola County woman won a $865,124 jackpot in a Michigan Lottery game, with what she originally thought was a losing ticket.

There have been 12 grand prizes that reached $1 billion or more, and only once in US history did a jackpot surpass $2 billion.
