The Sox' struggling center fielder hit the IL four days after making an early exit from a game with a hamstring injury, the latest unfortunate turn in what's been a miserable season for Robert.

The White Sox placed Robert on the 10-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to Thursday, will a left hamstring strain. He last played Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks before leaving the game in the bottom of the first inning after slowing up on a flyball off the bat of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in the top of the inning.

The Chicago White Sox placed center fielder Luis Robert Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain, the team announced on Sunday.
