Automaker Kia America is recalling more than 80,000 vehicles due to floor wiring beneath the front passenger seat that can become damaged and prevent airbags and seat belts from deploying properly.

Kia has issued a recall for 80,225 Niro models in the United States due to a potential wiring issue under the front passenger seat.The issue could compromise airbag functionality and seatbelt pretensioner operation,
