ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves were both interested in Kevin Durant on June 11, although the Phoenix Suns ultimately agreed to trade the star forward to the Houston Rockets.

According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Phoenix Suns wanted Rudy Gobert from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a Kevin Durant trade. The Timberwolves weren’t comfortable trading for Durant because they knew he didn’t want to play for them.

The Minnesota Timberwolves paused their pursuit of Kevin Durant because they did not feel comfortable with his demands, especially the contract extension.
