The NBA Summer League runs July 10-20 in Las Vegas. President of basketball operations Trajan Langdon has already said he expects last year’s draft picks — forwards Ron Holland II and Bobi Klintman — to take a leading role in Summer League play. Now it looks like the backcourt for the Pistons’ summer roster is settled.

The Detroit Piston had a need and filled it by drafting Chaz Lanier in the second round of the NBA Draft Thursday night, selecting Tennessee Basketball’s star shooting guard with the No. 37 overall pick.
