Chinese actor Wang Xing is set to return to Shanghai by plane on Friday evening, the actor's lawyer told Global Times on Friday. However, at the request of his family, the legal team declined to disclose the specific flight number.

Wang described the conditions in the scam center as oppressive, with his movements strictly monitored and controlled by the captors.
