World number 1 tennis player Jannik Sinner, who glided into the finals of Wimbledon, defeating Novak Djokovic, has been wearing a compression elbow sleeve due to an injury he sustained early in the tournament.
Injuries have plagued ATP World No. 19 Grigor Dimitrov throughout the 2025 season. However, just yesterday, Dimitrov said he was "pain-free" and looking forward to his match against the top-ranked Jannik Sinner in the fourth round of Wimbledon.
The 34-year-old Bulgarian won the first two sets 6-3, 7-5 and was tied with Sinner 2-2 in the third when he went down with the injury.
Jannik Sinner is through to the Wimbledon quarterfinals, though not in the way he wanted. Sinner lost the first two sets of his fourth-round match with Grigor Dimitrov on Monday before Dimitrov was forced to retire from the match after suffering an apparent pectoral injury.
The final of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz did not disappoint, although it was not as epic as the one at Roland Garros last month.
