A Whole Foods Market in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood has closed, seven years after opening at the base of a luxury apartment tower at the corner of Broadway and Madison Street.

Seattle’s Capitol Hill Whole Foods will close on June 20 due to performance issues, raising community concerns about grocery access and neighborhood impact.

The Whole Foods Market store in Capitol Hill, located on Madison and Broadway, is shuttering its doors June 20. The store rested at the base of the Danforth apartment building.
