President Donald Trump‘s administration sought to tamp down confusion over Medicaid funding in the wake of Office of Management and Budget director Matthew Vaeth’s memorandum pausing federal grant funding.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the medical aid website would be back online "shortly", after a sweeping memo ordered federal agencies to freeze funding.

The White House Office of Management and Budget says its program freeze is limited, but states report widespread disruption in online Medicaid portals.
