Economists predict that a short strike lasting a week or two would likely cause minimal damage to the U.S. economy, with GDP losses ranging from $1 billion to $5 billion per day. However, longer disruptions could cause significant product shortages, affecting industrial production and consumer spending.

The Hawaii Nurses Association confirmed, via social media, the upcoming dates of its three-day strike set to start on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025 at Queen’s Manamana and Queen’s West.
