Another round of showers and thunderstorms is slowly moving across the Mid-Atlantic Tuesday evening, after intense rain set off dangerous flash flooding from Virginia to New York on Monday, leaving at least two dead and prompting dozens of rescues as water overwhelmed roads and subways.
Atlantic, Hill Country, Texas, central Florida, southern Arizona, and the Upper Midwest are at risk for more flooding rainfall on Tuesday.
Neutral ground parking restrictions were lifted Wednesday ahead of storms that are expected to bring several inches of rain and potential flooding to the New Orleans area this week. Neutral ground parking will be allowed from 7 p.m. Wednesday to the same time Sunday.
Today’s forecast: Thunderstorms will become numerous in the late afternoon and evening. Some of these storms could have a brief severe wind gust. We are also looking at another burst of storms Saturday and then hot weather kicking in next week.
