Batting great Sunil Gavaskar reckons India would not even have reached 100 without Rishabh Pant's spectacular 33-ball-61 on Day 2 of the Sydney Test against Australia.

In the previous match, a clip featuring Gavaskar had gone viral where he was angry at Rishabh Pant's dismissal. The cricket legend showed his displeasure by shouting 'stupid, stupid, stupid' in the mic.

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar praised Rishabh Pant for his crucial half-century against Australia in Sydney, highlighting his bravery and calculated risks. Pant's aggressive 50 in 29 balls helped India stay in contention to win the Test match.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently down to the last and final Test which is being played at the SCG and though the Indian top-order batters failed to meet expectations once again, India star wicketkeeper-batter played one of the most important and entertaining knocks in the series where he smashed the Australian bowlers all around the park.
