The winter storm on Monday knocked out power at the city’s water plant, leaving thousands under a boil water advisory for days.

Having not showered for days himself, Richmond Mayor Danny Avula met with members of the media Wednesday morning to provide a blend of updates on the city’s ongoing water crisis and a warning that water may not be safe to consume without boiling it until Friday.
