Wednesday brings more late-day storms to our unsettled week. And with those storms, we are once again keeping an eye on our chances for severe weather, including damaging wind, hail, and flooding. A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Atlantic and Ocean counties in New Jersey until 11:30 p.
Having said that, it is going to be a rather unsettled weather day, with a stalled frontal boundary draped overhead. That will keep thick clouds and showers overhead throughout the day, which will also keep temperatures from climbing all that much.
According to National Weather Service meteorologist Nick Guzzil, there is a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms July 9, rising to 80% on July 10. While there is more uncertainty heading into the weekend, forecasts show a 40% chance of rain through July 12.
