Days after a woman lost her arm in a shocking lion attack at a Queensland zoo, frightening footage has resurfaced of a staff member snuggling up to a lion behind a fence.

Visitor activities resume at Darling Downs Zoo near Toowoomba, as Workplace Health and Safety Queensland continue to investigate the circumstances around the mauling.

Steve Robinson said she had been visiting the zoo for more than 20 years and acted as the zoo's photographer during that time.
