Orioles minor leaguer Luis Guevara, who died Tuesday, suffered traumatic internal and brain injuries after he was struck by an airborne personal watercraft, according to police.

Luis Guevara, a 19-year-old minor league player for the Baltimore Orioles, has died as a result of the injuries suffered during a “vessel incident,” according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC).

The Baltimore Orioles announced the death of Luis Guevara, a minor league baseball player who played 24 games for the Delmarva Shorebirds this year.
