William Nylander had two goals and an assist, and the Toronto Maple Leafs held on for a 5-4 win against the visiting Florida Panthers in Game 1.

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz exited midway through the second period of Game 1 of his team's second-round series against the Panthers on Monday night after taking an elbow to the head from Florida forward Sam Bennett at Scotiabank Arena.

William Nylander scored twice in the first period before adding an assist as Toronto built a big lead before holding on to beat the Florida Panthers 5-4 in the opener of the second-round series.
