PROVIDENCE – U.S. Sen. Jack Reed told a Jamestown town hall he would "absolutely" consider going to El Salvador if it might help his Senate colleague Chris Van Hollen's effort to secure the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man wrongfully deported by the Trump administration.

Democratic U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen said on Thursday he met Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man wrongly deported to El Salvador by the administration of Republican President Donald Trump.

The Supreme Court on Thursday required President Donald Trump’s administration to “facilitate” the return of a Maryland man mistakenly deported to El Salvador but stopped short of requiring the government to return him to the United States.
