SAN FRANCISCO — It will go down as one of the odder offensive outbursts of the season.

Casey Schmitt, Mike Yastrzemski and Willy Adames hit home runs, Heliot Ramos collected four RBIs and the San Francisco Giants outslugged the visiting Boston Red Sox for a 9-5 victory to compete a three-game series win Sunday afternoon.

After homering earlier in the game, Yastrzemski’s hard-hit line drive yielded an error from second baseman Romy Gonzalez, who let it go off his glove, allowing the go-ahead run to score in the seventh inning.
