The City of Richmond and surrounding Henrico County are under a water boil advisory after a snow-related power outage impacted Richmond’s main water plant along the James River.

Richmond residents have either had no water or low water pressure since a winter storm caused a power outage that disrupted the city's water reservoir system. Other technical issues have delayed restoration of water levels,

Meanwhile additional bottled water and tanker trucks are being brought in. Avula said members of the Virginia National Guard deployed overnight, bringing tanker trailers and distributing bottled water. Suppliers like Walmart and Amazon have also brought tractor trailers filled with bottled water.
