A significant force of firefighters has moved into place as a large fire broke out inside a corn oil tank in Providence off Terminal Road. So far, mutual aid from Cranston, Johnston and North Smithfield are on route to the scene.

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire that erupted inside a corn oil storage tank in the Port of Providence Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Terminal Road off of Allens Avenue in South Providence. It marks the latest fire in the city in the area.
