U.S. property management company Greystar swindled renters across the country out of hundreds of millions using deceptive advertising and hidden fees, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday by the U.S.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission, along with the State of Colorado, filed a lawsuit against Greystar Real Estate Partners, the U.S.'s largest apartment landlord, for allegedly misleading tenants about rent.
