President Donald Trump’s executive order denying U.S. citizenship to the children of parents living in the country illegally has faced the first of what will be many legal tests.

A federal judge, John Coughenour, temporarily blocked Trump’s executive order denying citizenship to children of undocumented parents, calling it “blatantly unconstitutional.”

A Seattle-based federal judge granted a request from the Washington Attorney General's Office for a temporary restraining order to delay an executive order that could reinterpret the rules of birthright citizenship issued by President Donald Trump.
