Water seemingly made a comeback in Richmond's faucets overnight Wednesday into Thursday — for real this time. The big picture: Most Richmonders had been without running water for more than two days, while residents in parts of Henrico and Hanover had been without service for around 24 hours as of Wednesday afternoon.

"There there could've been better communication was the notification that we received from the city of Richmond. It took a number of hours to get that information and we were not able to fill our system as much as we would've liked to,

Richmond Mayor Danny Avula said that water service has returned in some areas and that most residents could see at least a trickle by Wednesday afternoon.
