Formula One is back in Europe for Round 11 and the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg. Mercedes’ George Russell was the big winner last time out in Canada — prompting questions over why he’s still waiting for his contract extension.

George Russell initially topped FP1 at the Austrian Grand Prix, but McLaren's Lando Norris dominated FP2, with Oscar Piastri close behind. Rookie Alex Dunne impressed in his F1 debut, finishing fourth in FP1.

However, Max Verstappen remains a formidable threat at Red Bull’s home circuit, having won the most races and secured the most poles there. Mercedes, fresh off George Russell’s victory in Canada, is also a strong contender.
