NFL Media posted a report suggesting that the Jets and receiver Garrett Wilson might be headed for a split, if quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns for a third season.

Wilson reports began in early December but no one will really know what is going to happen any time soon. The Jets haven’t even hired a new head coach or general manager. Those two people in New York will factor in massively in any decisions Wilson, Rodgers, or the Jets make.

With the New York Jets' season about to wrap up with nary a playoff berth in sight, eyes are now turning to what will be a consequential offseason at Florham Park. The organization must find a new GM and head coach before figuring out whether Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback to lead them into a new era.
