Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler refused to take the credit for his match-winning substitution after Danny Welbeck made an instant impact to earn a “lucky” 2-1 Premier League victory over fellow European hopefuls Bournemouth.

Fabian Hurzeler spoke to BBC Match of the Day after Brighton's victory against Bournemouth: "It was a very intense game, both teams tried to score and tried to win. The second half was an open game and in the end we were a lucky winner."

Fabian Hurzeler acknowledged Brighton were fortunate to snatch a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, igniting his side's European hopes and denting their opposition's same aspirations. Hurzeler's side took the lead in the first half through Joao Pedro from the penalty spot after the Brazilian striker was fouled by Kepa Arrizabalaga.
