Android 16 is almost here, and if the leaks and rumors are true, it'll release with a handful of exciting features.

Older Pixel smartphones might be left behind as a new Android 16 feature heads to newer Google devices. Google appears set to roll out a hotly anticipated Battery Health menu as part of Android 16 for Pixel phones – but only those released in the past year or so.

As reported by Android Authority and pointed out on Reddit, a Google developer on the public Android Issue Tracker site said the battery health indicator feature will only come to the company’s Pixel 8A and newer models, and that Google “won’t fix” the problem because it’s “infeasible.”
