Lyon, 32, started each of the past two seasons as Detroit’s No. 3 goalie and ended up playing a combined 74 games, more than any other Red Wings netminder. The eight-year NHL veteran posted a record of 35-27-6 with a 2.96 goals-against average, .901 save percentage and three shutouts with the Red Wings.
